For all you Ping Pong enthusiasts, ACM is now running an improved Ping Pong ladder. Experience Trueskill based ranking and matchmaking, the Bayesian Ranking system behind the successful Xbox Live ladder system.
Special Props to Alexi Pors, head of the Game Development Group, for his Trueskill game logic engine.
ACM is please to announce that we have a new ACM chair apprentice, Paul Croft! Paul is currently a sophomore in the CS department. Paul has graciously taken on the stagnated Cabinet Project, our attempt to get a web page running for the CF405 snack cabinet.
ACM is always looking for students to help take on part of a project for the club. Follow in Paul's footsteps and help make your club better!

ACM Held Elections today for ACM Secretary. The Winner is Zurka Wolford, senior at Junior at Western Washington University. Zurka hopes one day to work at the Windows 8 Phone dev team at Microsoft. Congratulate her if you see her!

Jerry Cochran, principal cybersecurity architect at Microsoft, will be giving a seminar on network security October 28 from 3:00 to 4:00 in CF110. Come learn about the newest in network security, and as always, eat pizza.

Western Participated in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition Pacific Rim Regional for the first time this year. We were the most secure team and took second place overall. During the competition teams were expected to secure a network under attack by a red team of security professionals and perform business "injects" given by a black team representing the management of a company.
